Emery releases their new CD, “We Do What We Want,” March 29th. So far, the only songs released have been “Curse of Perfect Days” and “The Cheval Glass.” When hearing that it would be the heaviest album yet, I was excited. However, after hearing “The Cheval Glass,” I have my concerns.
Compared to earlier songs, the new release rarely uses vocal harmonies, which gave them the distinct sound which I fell in love with. Although it is not a bad song, it causes me to raise an eyebrow about what’s to come.
It’s also worth noting that “Curse of Perfect Days” is a much richer song as far as harmonies go, and I still have hope.
In short, “We Do What We Want” comes out March 29th! Go out and buy it!
